I know it sounds somewhat absurd that a person can't legally drink at age 18 - - but they can fight a war at 18.I think all things should be 21 .. with the exception of driving.
I'm not for sure what age would be a good age for driving - due to maturity levels. At age 16, some kids are lots more mature than other kids -- and some kids have no maturity at all. When a person gets behind the wheel, maturity is certainly needed because the person driving has their life in their hands - along with the lives of all the people in their auto - plus, all of the other people driving around them.
I'm a firm believer in letting kids live a life as a kid -- before giving them adult things.

a good title about lowering the voting age to 16?We Answered:
Ok, to let them volunteer for their states legislative session so that they can actually have a working knowledge of how government is run and how some bills get passed and killed on the floor or some that make it to committee. There are programs out there now for students to do this and they actually get out of school to help out with their state legislatures.Other than this I can see no reason for the voting age to be reduced to 16. I think that every student enrolled in school should have to volunteer to work during a state legislative session at least for a week as the information that is learned is quite essential when it comes time to vote

why vote at 16??We Answered:
As a high school teacher I know well that 16 year olds are not ready to vote. Their brains are not developed and they have not had enough life experiences to make informed judgements.
