Voting In The Uk

Gwendolyn Said:

Why is it "wrong" that I'm not voting? (UK)?

We Answered:

It's sad that all Democratic Countries don't place an importance on educating all citizens, esp. in the school system about your responsibility as a citizen to learn about the process, how to learn about the nominees who want to represent you & your voice on how you live in that society, & what would happen if everyone decided not to educate themselves to this process & not participate.

It's not you fault you are not aware of the importance of this process, but now that you've come aware, perhaps you should follow through & search on the internet about the candidates that represent you, to make sure they aren't manipulating the system to their advantage & your disadvantage.

Also, your age group will someday run your country & make decisions on Taxes, going to war, healthcare systems, childcare, etc., etc. That will impact you when you're older, so why not start voicing your right to vote now & make your future a better place to how you'd like your country to be in representing your views & life choices. That's what voting can do.

Melissa Said:

Can a Limited Company have 100% voting? (UK)?

We Answered:

Yes, the articles can specify that a unanimous vote is required in many instances.
They're very common for 'entrenchment provisions', where 100% is required to change the articles themselves, for example.

However, I'm pretty sure, in some situations, the statutory levels do take precidence.
I couldn't tell you exactly which though.

Velma Said:

Is it true that there has been talk of the UK voting age being changed to 16?

We Answered:

I've heard it mentioned.

Amazing country the UK

We have the left wing complaining about 18 year old "boys" being deployed to Afghanistan but they want to give the vote to 16 year "adults" as they are old enough to make an informed choice.

Strange how they define "childhood" and "adulthood" to fit their mandate.

Maurice Said:

Can the UK Parliament change the UK voting system?

We Answered:

Troy Said:

Can a Limited Company have 100% voting? (UK)?

We Answered:

Yes the sole owner or person who has all the shares can vote 100%.

Katherine Said:

Can you see people in the UK voting in a black woman as Prime Minister?

We Answered:

Yes, one day.

But I don't see any black woman currently in politics who would inspire me to think I could vote for her party to make her PM. Especially not Diane Abbot.
