We are now ruled by unelected Eurocrats that we can't vote out, many of whom hate Britain. The EU is the most expensive club in the world for which we get very little benefit. If we channeled that money back into our own country we would be in a far batter state than we are now.

As you have addresses in 2 parts of the UK, you can be on the electoral register in both places and vote in local elections in both places. It is, however, illegal to vote twice in an election for Parliament, so you have to choose which constituency you want to vote in and just not vote in the other one.

One of the reasons you will need it is for identity purposes. It is a photo document that shows who you are. You do not need to take out citizenship, and I see no benefit to you, although I don't know which country you are from. As a British passport holder who needed assistance abroad I can tell you it's worth nothing, you may as well hold a passport from Africa. As an EU citizen in U.K. you can vote in local elections but not state elections. Keep your own passport and be proud of it.
