What Is An Independent Voter

Micheal Said:

Is there an approval rating of Congress based only on independent voters views?

We Answered:

Overall 9% approval rating. This is not just independents! They have 0% approval from me.

Fred Said:

Being an independent voter (like George Washington said to be) anyone else notice this similiarity in politics?

We Answered:

Both sides were telling the truth when they vilified the other party. They were right in doing so. They were only wrong in not believing what the opposing party was saying about the one they preferred.

Matthew Said:

What are the benefits of registering as an Independent voter?

We Answered:

None that I know of.
Can't vote in primary elections in most states, but you can in some.

Arthur Said:

So what's wrong with being an independent voter?

We Answered:

Nothing wrong, but sometimes you need to choose the least worst alternative, to the one you really don't want to see elected, rather than a no chance candidate.

Unless there is proportional representation so that minority parties receive appropriate representation, then tactical voting is a fact of life, as votes for unelectable candidates are wasted.

Eileen Said:

What can an independent voter do? With Dems seeming dim, and Repubs seeming repugnant?

We Answered:

Keep throwing away your vote until maybe someday the independents will win one.

Lena Said:

I am an Independent voter, and I am slightly dissapointed in our candidates on both sides, do you think.....?

We Answered:

i am an independent also and am sadly disappointed in all the candidates.

the two Dem's are only 10% different in their voting record.

McCain has been 'bi-partisan' to the detriment of Republican tenants, which seem to have been forgotten what we used to stand for and now there is too much blending of ideologies.

Running for president is a rich mans game and it is sad that these are the best choice we have been give, IMO.

so looks like my choice has to be: very very liberal, very liberal and kinda liberal.

do the math, we simply cannot afford more socialization. who is going to pay for it, that would be me and you. put your money where you mouth is and ask are you prepared to give more money for government programs that you already give.

Discuss It!
