Don't get me wrong here, the rape of children is probably the most heinous act a person can commit and offenders should have the harshest possible sentences imposed against them.
The death penalty, however, is reserved for those who kill, period. The entire premise of imposing the death penalty rests on the State's "right" to kill those who have killed. Once you start imposing that sentence on people who have not killed you're heading down a dangerous and slippery slope. If you start executing people who have not killed, regardless of how bad their crimes may have been, where do you stop?
We should kill those who rape children. At some point, years down the road, what's to stop us from saying we should kill all those who rape anyone? Let's say you're 15 and your boyfriend is 18 and you have sex with him. That is rape and child molestation as well. Do we kill your boyfriend? Do we have to start saying some rape is worse than other rape? Is the rape of an adult not as bad as the rape of a child? Does one type of rape deserve the death penalty and another doesn't? What's to stop the State from killing drug dealers as well? They can do as much damage to a child as a rapist. Do you kill ordinary people who rape children or priests as well? Where do you stop?
Once you take the death penalty out of the realm of killing those who have killed there is no end in sight. Should molesters and rapers of children be given special hospitals and treatment? No. Should they be killed? I say no.

I don't tow the party line. Several time in my life I have broke party lines and voted for "the other side" because of several reasons, one of which because of the personality and affiliations of the candidate recommended by my party.

So, I don't think that the Hillary supporters are bound to Obama for any reason.

The fact is people are allowed to vote for anyone who they damned well please.

One of these days Obama supporters will "get it" however I think that day will be the 1st Wednesday of November, 2008.
