Where To Vote In Minnesota
Stacey Said:
In need of Minnesota political info?We Answered:
Info on race and on demographics can be found at this website...http://www.demography.state.mn.us/Downlo… but it basically says...
Over 75% of Minnesota's residents are of Western European descent, with the largest reported ancestries being German (38%), Norwegian (17%), Irish (12%), and Swedish (10%).[41] As of 2006, 6.6% of residents were foreign-born, compared to 12.5% for the nation.[42] The state has had the reputation of being relatively homogeneous, but that is changing. The Hispanic population of Minnesota is increasing rapidly.
Conservatives are generally found in the surburbs and white areas with higher concentrations of wealth. In immigrant communities, and in african american areas most people vote democrat. Of course statistics for this exist but would take hours to find for each group and each area so if you need them you'll have a night's work ahead!
The top three issues in the state changes year to year but generally it corresponds to the rest of the nation. Health is a major concern, and since 9/11 terrorism and security has become an important issue at number two. Although no serious study has been conducted yet, it is generally assumed that the economy is in the top three of people's concerns at this time, which would compare naturally to most other parts of the US.
I hope this helps a little and good luck.
Cheers.

Should the Minnesota's Senate Election results be updated to include all the votes that were cast?We Answered:
Everything's been screwed up so bad I'd say let's just re-vote. The dems. wouldn't want this because Coleman would win in a landslide. He wouldn't have the coattails of Obama to ride in on.Megan Said:
How can I vote being a resident of another state? We Answered:
absentee ballots ... probably too late -- needs to be sent by mail.Heidi Said:
Is the Minnesota sec. of state skewing the Senate recount? We Answered:
Two point nine million ballots were recounted by hand. The recount was open to the press, public, and both campaigns. There was even a WebCam.The chance for hijinks are slim to none
