No, I'm in Oregon, we're a low population, western state. The elections are always pretty much decided by the time our polls close. But I always vote anyway. I figure my Conservative vote cancels out one of the Liberals that infest this state like a plague of roaches.

There was a time when I thought that my vote really meant something, now I feel that I have no voice in this country at all!
We take the time to go & vote but someone else makes the decisions for us as to who the nominee will be, some of those making these decisions have been bought & paid for, if not in cash then in favors, such as campaigning, promises to be appointed to certain offices to advance their careers etc. Is this how we want this nation run, is this why the Constitution was written, for others to make the decisions for us & leave us no voice in our government. We fought a Revolution to free ourselves for this sort of thing, taxation without representation! We now have plenty of taxation with no representation, it's all in the hands of a few & we the people have lost our voice in the government, it's only for the few who have power & money!

Only on a local and (occasionally) state level where some real contrast in candidates and parties exist. On a national level, the "two parties" have agreed to a virtually identical agenda that they manipulate to maintain power.

Take, as examples, any "red meat" issue, from abortion to "gay rights" and dozens of others that are offered up to appease their respective "bases" over and over, year after year and consistently fall short, by the smallest margins, of a final resolution. Once the elections are over, these issues go back on the shelf until the next cycle, when they again become useful.

It think it is high time to change this complicated system of Presidential election. Let us elect the president by cast of direct vote per individual who attains the age. Let the authorities simplify the system so that some one will know what is going on.
